Beauty Buys

I'm trying to catch up since I haven't posted in the last few days and have been busy with work as well as checking out what's in stores and getting ready for Fall (even though it's been in the upper 80's here in NYC). I've picked up a few new pieces which I'll share in the next few days/weeks, but I'm always sure to buy some new nail colors and blush for Fall. Not only do our wardrobes have to change season to season, but our beauty regimen needs to be tweeked a bit too. I headed over to MAC to pick up a new blush for Fall. I was currently wearing another blush from MAC but it was definitely more on the Spring/Summer side, as it was a peachy/coraly color. I absolutely loved how it looked with tan skin. Now that I'm getting back to my semi pale self, I decided to get back to a warmer more rose, mauve color. As usual, MAC came through for me and I picked up this awesomely lovely color shimmer blush form them. It's called Breezy and just perfect! It's the perfect shade and has a hint of shimmer which gives the color some depth. I wore it for the first time today and LOVE it! It made my whole face light up and gave me a certain ....glow. The color probably won't transcend as well in these pics, but I would definitely recommend checking this out if your looking for a new blush.

I also picked up this super cheapie nail color ($1.99 in Duane Reade) that I really dig. It's an almost black color with a hint of green shimmer. So subtle, yet makes all the difference.

Pretty in Blush

Weather in NYC has been considerably summer like the last few days considering it is Fall. I decided to take advantage of this mild weather to wear a dress I've had since the winter and never wore. I hunted it down at H&M for weeks! This dress is so pretty and girly and I've been dying to wear it but felt it was too dressy to wear to work as is. I thought a good way to dress it down was to add a crisp white button down over and tie at the waist. I really like the way this came together and happy I was finally able to wear this dress.

Tucker For Target Reviews

So today Target launched the newest Go Designer, the Tucker line. I first got a glimpse of the items on Gilt, where I purchased 2 pieces from the line at the presale event they had in August. I bought this cute floral dress, which I thought was nice for summer as well as something versatile I can work into my fall wardrobe. The fit is really nice, material is somewhat light, but layered, can definitely work.

I added a belt to cover the elastic cinch waist and some boots to make it fall ready.

Here, I added a navy colored boyfriend blazer and switched out the boots for these cute cognac colored Oxfords I picked up at Target.

Here's a close up of the floral print.

I also picked up this cute burgundy print top. I thought this would look nice paired with flare or wide leg jeans or even skinny jeans.

I was able to score these two pieces yesterday at my local Target, which had the line out yesterday, one day early. Lucky me! This is probably my favorite from the collection, this cute, bow tie front blouse with pumpkin colored polka dots and this super cute knee length, tweed like skirt with pumpkin colored herringbone pattern. This skirt has two slant pockets, which I LOVE! Paired together, this outfit is lady like and perfect for Fall!

I'm looking forward to the next Go Designer line for Target, Mulberry handbags. I've already have my eye on one and hopefully I'll be able to snag one before they sell out.

FALL IS IN THE AIR

So as my title reads, Fall is definitely in the air here in NYC. The air is crisp, temps are in the 60's and 70's and I'm loving every monute of it. Fall is definitely my favorite time of year, for fashion especially! I love the fabrics, layering, textures, just everything! Here's a few of my recent OOTD with a couple of new items I picked up for Fall.
