Mixing The Seasons

Hope everyone had a good weekend! There was so many sales and friends & family events going on so I'm sure fashionistas everywhere were rejoicing. Unfortunately, due to my stint in rehab (no shopping as per DH)I was unable to check out any of the sales. I read many reviews online and in other blogs in regards to the Jimmy Choo launch at H&M and was happy to hear it was mediocre at best. Quality was not good and neither was the price. I'm going to stop by one of my local H&M's tomorrow to see if anything is left and what it's looking like but my expectations are low.

As I mentioned on my last post, most of the items I was interested in at Gap/BR or ON were OOS. I feel like they purposely did that or removed items from online prior to the F&F starting. I thought I was going crazy when I saw a sweater I wanted one minute and the next it was completely gone from the site. Did this happen to anyone else??? I'm sure the sales for black Friday will be even better and I honestly need to start thinking about xmas shopping. It's right around the corner so, no more treats for me.

I'm happy to report Ann Taylor Loft F&F event starts today until November 22nd, enjoy 30% off plus free shipping on orders over $100.

So besides for studying for a major exam for school this weekend and crying inside due to not shopping, I turned to my closet and bins of clothes I had put away for one reason or another and tried to see what "new" outfits I could make out of what I have. I found that a few of my spring skirts could definitely be worn now with tights, boots and a sweater. I've been on a dress/skirt kick lately and found so many options in the things I currently own(I mean really, what other choice do I have right?) Here's the outfit I'll be wearing tomorrow featuring a few spring pieces. It's supposed to be relatively warm in NYC considering the time of year.

What I'm wearing:
Skirt- don't remember where I bought this
Express- ruffle tank
NY & Company cardigan in navy
Target Kady boots in Cognac

I hope to be in the stores this week and although I won't be shopping, I'll be looking for sales and deals and any new must have items. I think it's important to remember "Fashions fade; style is eternal"- Yves St. Laurent, designer. What does this mean, this means ensure you have those staples that will last forever, are versatile and easy to wear. Everything else is just an extra. Work with what you have and reinvent it. It keeps everything new! Thanks for looking and I hope to share more soon. Until next time, Happy Shopping!
